About Nikki

Growing up in a Cajun family meant food was the epicenter of every gathering be it a celebration, a funeral or just a regular evening meal.  My family transplanted from Louisiana to Texas when I was five and I was fortunate to grow up in the Austin area as Austin itself grew into the foodie town it is today.  My father is an entrepreneur and one of his ventures during my teens was a fine arts, entertainment and dining card featuring discounts at local establishments.  His idea was a predecessor to modern day Groupon mixed with the Go Local card.  I was an official taste tester and arts critic for my Dad thus I was passionately connected to everything going on in Austin, Texas from a young age.  In addition to my adulation of good food I love live theatre, music and expressing my creative nature through my fashion finds as well as occasional acting classes, DIY projects, furnishing my home and entertaining.  Fitness is another aspect of my life that brings me joy and I hope to encourage and inspire others to get moving! I am often asked by friends for advice on which local restaurants to dine in and where to shop as well as what to wear and how to accessorize.  I am enthusiastic about enjoying life and maintaining balance and I am excited to share my joie de vivre with readers in hopes that my zeal is contagious.  My love of Austin translates to my career as a Realtor as well.  Helping my clients buy and sell their homes is such an awesome way to spend my days.  It get to live vicariously through each and every one of them and help them accomplish their dreams.
